The DX-ST2104 as well as all other components will be delivered in a solide suitcase. The suitcase contains standard accessories on the one hand and optional accessories including products of the company Melexis on the other hand. These products support you with the initial training, programming, communication and controlling and allows an easy access to product development with the aid of the SPI Toolkit.
Areas of application
The development of new innovative motor applications requires analysis options which exceed the measuring with the oscilloscope. Software components increase in complexity and many important system variables can’t be measured external. A debugging of the software interrupts the motor run and is therefore for many tests inappropriate.
The DX-ST2104 SPI Toolkit addresses these issues: The tool allows the monitoring of internal variables in realtime without affecting the motor run. The signal course can be tracked via PC, saved as a data file and displayed on a connected oscilloscope. Thereby a basis for the preparation of algorithm tests is established helping to improve the software quality.
The connection of the DX-ST2104 SPI Toolkit at the motor application is managed by a serial interface (SPI). The connection between the Evalboard (TargetBoard) and the SPI Toolkit can be extended by a galvanic isolated interface (UDSI driver platine).
The SPI Toolkit is basically compatible with every controller with SPI interface.
The overall system contains a hardware box which acts as a SPI-Slave and records and passes data to the PC. As software the DX-Toolkit-Recorder receives and visualizes the data and allows their recording and storage for the following processing and analysis.
Acquisition and visualization of controller internal system variables
The SPI Toolkit enables you to gather all relevant values that are calculated within your embedded application and that are inaccessible from the outside. Unlike usual electrical measurement instruments the DX-ST2104 allows you to get an insight into the behavior of the system and detect errors without a detour through measured voltages and currents.
Export of recorded data
In view of a further data analysis you can pass on the data to Microsoft Excel or Matlab and use the export possibilities of the Toolkit for the documentation of your development state. With the DX-ST2104 SPI Toolkit you provide evidence of the functionality and the accurate processing of your algorithms.
Analog output of digital data
Our SPI Toolkit allows a data output of the digital received values of the controller via analog outputs. Thereby you can continue to use the powerful analysis possibilities of your existing measuring hardware. Thus for instance you have the possibility to display internal system values on an oscilloscope.
Connection of additional boards to improve the signal quality
You can use the supplied additional boards (Sensor Adapter Board and UDSIDriver Board) to improve the quality of your data which can be disturbed by the increased electrical load within the test bench environment.
